The LENA properties were built with covenants and restrictions that many of us are not aware of. A covenant is a promise in a written contract or a deed of real property. Covenants which run with the land, such as permanent easement of access or restrictions on use, are binding on future owners of the property.

This means that the property you purchased within the LENA neighborhood is covered by these restrictions even if you are not the original owner of the property.  We have added this page to provide access to the legal documents which govern the covenants and restrictions for LENA properties.

The neighborhood was established in four different sections or geographical areas. Your legal description will inform you as to which section your property is in.  If you are not sure of your legal description you can search for your property on the Canadian County Assessor property search page.
